Not a bad birthday at all.

And yes, two and a half feet of fresh powder was silly---stupid fun! After the great fishing last week had to offer, I was pretty bummed by that severe cold front. I try not to fight conditions, though. What ever mother nature throws your way, embrace it.

I had to dig pretty hard, but luckily, I found my retired tape-measure .

And just for further clarification, can I still upgrade? Or is this my one, silver-bullet?

She measured 54.25" and scaled out at 54 lbs 10 oz.

Also, let me know if my solo-session photos will suffice, too. I can add the frightened-tourist photo if need be, but it's not pretty

Dude, that fish has money coming out of its eyeballs! Nice fish and an excellent read. I always appreciate reading a great story knowing that there is going to be a picture of a big ol' fish at the end.

Happy birthday. You might be getting older, but you are certainly living the life.

Not one boat or kayak for miles in either direction---ah, solitude---a great gift in itself.

Solitude in nature is one of the greatest birthday gifts. I spend February on the water in solitude.
The water here is colder, harder, and fishing sucks. Thanks for the inspiration and congrats on the fish.

What is wrong with Josh's Revo?

Great catch Josh. Great photos and write up.

I am trying to figure something out.

Josh and I have the exact same blue Revo.......

We weigh the same.....

Something must be wrong with his boat........ It always seems like its riding lower in the water......

I wonder what the problem with his boat is.....?
