5/31 LJ

Made greenies just outside the reserve and started by yoyoing the iron on bait balls to no luck. Moved out a little further and seadog was stealing my baits. Moved even further out from the Condo in 86 feet dropped a carolina rigged greenie to the bottom and got picked up immediately. I held on for dear life as this bad boy had lots of strength and energy. Took about 15 minutes of serious praying that it wouldn't come unbottoned, and finally it just came to poppa!

Ratdog! You dog!!

Nice fish woo!

How heavy a slider do you use on the carolina rig to get the greenie down that far?

"it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog."

Yeah, these consistent 25lb YT's will smoke your reels!!!!
I'm glad you didn't loose it in the kelp...lost a few of them that way.

Nice job! Cool Beach Shot, reminds me of the painting "American Gothic."

A man, his fish and his kayak

or

A man, his wife and his pitchfork

"La Jolla Gothic"
