I did, too! Bought a '15 outback from Andy couple months ago. An excellent person to deal with!

Got a trident 13 after jumping off the hobie wagon. My oex experience was awesome as usual.

Well I will be purchasing a more kayak friendly PFD soon so I'll stop by the Mission Bay store when I get a chance. It would be nice to try on some different ones before buying.
Their prices look comparable to others I've seen online. Do they by chance spool reels there? |

Hell no.
11years and going strong with just a bit of keel repair. Should get 10 more too. Secondly with all the crap theyre putting on new yak designs, there isnt a hull that interests me in plastic compared to the P13. There are some glass yaks Im looking at though...

I did buy a kayak this year, but not from OEX, sorry. I have nothing against OEX at all, but there are two reasons I didn't.
First, I live inland quite a ways, it is a long drive to get there. Second, when I first considered getting into kayaking I found Tim at Dana Point Jet Ski. He let me take different kayaks out to try and was very helpful, so I bought it from him (still have it BTW). He also gave me advice on how to fish at DP, where and when. I am the type of person who tends to stay with a place if they are good and treat me well. Again, nothing against OEX, just DP is closer and treats me well. I do however on occasion order stuff for my kayak from them.

OEX has always been awesome, only one complaint though. My wife sees OEX on the credit card statement far too often haha. Now I have to use cash.

I wish i would have known about OEX before i bought my Native kayak slayer 10 propel. I googles native dealer out here and OEX only popped up down in mission bay. i thought that was to far of a drive from riverside so I ordered my kayak online.. then had problems with shipping and the kayak was damaged and I would not accept it and it was sent back then it took a week for it to ship again finally get it everything is good. first time out i head to Huntington harbor and see OEX sunset beach my thoughts were "are you F#@@ing kidding me." I walked in and talked with Andy. Man dont know why that location didnt pop up. but I really wish i would have. wish I got the kayak from andy..
