Super ghetto outrigger release

I some times fish from a hobie adventure island with the full outrigger kit. I've been trolling with a 5 1/2 foot rod lately and since the hobie's flush mount rod holders point almost strait back I have been getting my line in to the rudder. I made a super simple outrigger clip that worked very well. A clothes pin, bit of fishing line, and a rubber band are all I used. I let the bait out as far as want, roll the line a few times and put in to the clothes pin, then push the rig as far out on to the out rigger as I can reach. I don't know if any one else on the board fishes an island but this is a decent option. Also if you have a reel with a light holding clicker this will keep your mack from constantly chirping your clicker and driving you crazy. Mike
