You might want to look up "natural selection" unless you meant that he looked more or less sexy for having gone out.

Hey watch it!! Quid pro quo only works for those who can see more then one side.

Aren't you supposed to be pig hunting? It's not like the Tsunami was going to stop you. I kinda got a feeling that a man such as yourself who's used to dealing with real bears cougars and pigs on a regular basis, and who's been known to dispatch them when necessary, wouldn't have much to fear from internet dogs.... sleeping or otherwise

Sexy to who

I get the idea of taking off a day of work to go fishing, but do so to go in the middle of the worst Tsunami prediction in decades doesn't seem to be to smart to me. I mean I occasionally fish small craft advisories just for fun in my sit inside, but even I was smart enough to stay off the water Friday.

Seems suddenly all kinds of guys are saying they went out that day, maybe I guess because they think its sexy...

Of coarse with some of those guys more then half the stuff they post is total b.s. with the wrong dates and wrong locations, even pretending other guys fish are their own, so honestly it's pretty hard to tell who really went out and whose talking shit.

Who knows I guess for some dumb is sexy.

Check out the guy at the 3 minute mark in this vid from Friday.

Now some might think he's sexy but I'd say that guys a total dumbass.

Jim

If the slipper fit then wear it.

Most people that fished that day did not take the day off knowing of the Tsunami being that it occured late in the evening.

I was smart enough to know that the predicted 2-3 foot surge would not be a problem unless you were in a bottleneck leading to a basin of some sort. Even less if you were on the open water.

That's funny because I thought I was smart enough to know that when dealing with things the size of 8.9 earthquakes and the whole Northern half of the Pacific Ocean that predicting surge or wave height at a given location is far from a precise science.

Honestly I did not realize you went out Greg, but these things don't always occur as predicted.

Case and point is Santa Cruz which was supposedly dropped from the initial Tsunami warning due to the fact the models said they would not have huge issues there.

My take is one of these days this coast is really going to get it. Especially up at Malibu, where everything is right on the sand.

I thought about going Friday because I thought it might be fun to be out there but backed out because of the unpredictability of the situation.

I don't wear slippers, but I guess that means when it comes to "sexy" you got me

Jim

Seriously..what difference does it make if someone went out kayak fishing? Why would anyone care? Guys catch fish in all different types of conditions. Enough of the girl talk on the internet and time to fish...

for the record, the group of guys that went out that day were united and made informed, calculated decisions. granted, there was unpredictability with this situation, but, in the end, thankfully, it was as we expected... mild

there are those who would consider kayak fishing foolish and extreme risk-taking in and of itself...

and by the way, i thought we looked pretty damn sexy out there...
