LJ Shores 8.15.07

Finally got off the boat, and into the yak this morning. Hit the shores at graylight and found plenty of spanish early. Lots of fish out there and seals too. Got picked up right away by this kelp bass on flyline and alittle later the deep rig goes off and up comes this little yellow. Thats what I like about kayak fishing, an 11lber feels like a 22lber! Other than that, "you get what you get" .

I think the dolphin got a few. Hardly any kayaks out there, maybe four at most. I'm sure theres bigger yellows out there, just gotta be in right spot. Will be out thurs. if surf not to extreme.

Congrats!!

I went way south for hour+ paddle back. I saw and caught plenty of bait. Some large Bonita, greens and spanish. Only was picked up by dogs a zillion times.

Nice runt Dave. I think that is the smallest fish I've ever seen you pictured with.
