Fishing Alongside the USS Abraham Lincoln

A white guy, an Asian and a Mexican go fishing......one almost gets arrested & none of them come back empty handed. It was nice to see this beast coming in with all the seaman standing on its decks.

J.K. about the almost getting arrested part

George, I think you and Roby will agree, today was one of the better days of fishing we had at Cabrillo.

Perfect weather

Fish were hungry

Up close view of why people don't want to F$@* with the USA!

Abraham Lincoln was truly impressive and a little intimidating, I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of his anger.

NAVY DAYS in LA harbor all week. You can tour Abe Lincoln and other Navy ships for free this week. Frog demos, Navy band, simulators, etc. Google it to get exact schedules.

I'm still in awe with the size of that ship, the countless vessels that surrounded it as it entered the channel and how every single one of those men and women stood on that deck until that ship docked......WHAT A SITE!!

Quick report:

* The three of us launched from Long Beach @ 6:30am

* By 8:30am all three of us had legal halibut(s) on our kayaks. I brought two halibut to the kayak: a shorty (released) and 18lber.

* The halibut were caught on Sardines.

* The wind came up real strong at noon.

* It was cool seeing the Navy roll in.

* Matt and George wouldn't shut up about the WSB they recently caught.
