La Jolla Shores beach launch is the place. Paddle/peddle west at least until you clear land on your left (LJ Cove). most start bait fising there and continue west then S/West to fish the outside of the kelp line (tho there's not much at the surface). YT are usually 80-130 depth or more anywhere from the NW corner on down & out. Check the state preserves and GPS the area if you can.

Good Luck!

Way to go Daniel-son!

Dang doot! I couldn't be happier to see this post.

I have not been on this website for months, maybe even years. I can't believe I log in and it's yopu.

Very stoked for you.

I miss our Mirage trips!!
we need to talk to your dad and get him to go fishin' with us.

It took me 11 or 12 trips down to LJ to pop my kayak YT cherry.
you did it in half the time. congrats!!!

I stumbled on this pic the other day.

Thanks everyone!

And thanks Josh, hopefully we can all get together again and fish. It definitely feels like forever since we where all last on that boat together.

What an awesome picture, looks like it was a good day of fishing for all of us!

If you are ever in the SD area let me know and lets hook up and fish. It would be awesome to see how the master does his stuff!

Reminds me of when people would try to bury a fresh report by commenting on really old ones.

Fake news, false flags and wagging the dog.

Pretty suspicious.

Had the same experience a month ago . . . a dog, a big yellow or a thresher? I'll never know, but it broke off 60 pound braid. Sure doubt a yellow would have done that. Made for an wild 5-10 minutes, that's for sure!
