Boom goes the dynamite

After a few skunk trips with nothing but calico bass and short chromies- it felt reallllly good to get back in the groove.

Date- a few weeks back.

Location- La Jolla

Kayak- Hobie PA 14

Bait- greenbacks

Depth- 80’

Started marking bait on the bottom and wasn’t long before the fish showed up. Had two on the boat by 545 am. Dropper loop macks on 50#. My buddy joined for his first tome kayak fishing and got to pull on a 30#er. His first kayak yellow. I went 4/4.

Killed It

Never thought about saving the roe. What do you do with it? Any preparation suggestions? Congratulations on the epic day.
