Bummer, I did not hear about this, and I live down the street from it.

I grabbed two 30's. Sign up for them and get a 10% off coupon. Total was $273 for both, free shipping and no tax. I just ordered them today.

I already got two of these from West Marine when they were $169.99 now they are on clearance for $149.77

LOWRANCE
Elite-4 HDI Chartplotter/Fishfinder with 83/200 455/800kHz Transducer & Nautic Pro Cartography

http://www.westmarine.com/buy/lowran...aphy--17030388

Probably the best deal out there for a starter fish finder and transducer!

BTW for those who order, you may get a backorder email, which is what happened to me, but it was still shipped and delivered in a few days. Apparently there are none at any of the warehouses but they are shipping them from stores that still have stock.

Thanks for the heads up Starsky, I'd just bought one at the higher price. Called West Marine and they refunded the difference!

for those who want chirp, it's only $30 more.

So tempted to pick one of these up instead of saving up for the 5 or 7" instead..

Lowrance Elite 5 w/ maps @ WM

This seems too good to be true at $149.55:

Maybe not so great a deal. Some reviewers are saying it's primarily a depth finder and not so much a fish finder.

I would sty away from DSI models.. Real old ones that don't really work well in ocean.. Great in shallow lakes finding structure but not fish

I'd say its a good deal if you sign up for the email newsletter and get an additional $25 off.. there based out of Indiana so probably get away with no sales tax too.

Went to the Sports Chalet in Porter Ranch today and picked up one men's deluxe and two youth Caddis Chest Waders at 60% off the discounted prices. I got all three for around 160$ after taxes. There was a men's XL and an XL Stout still available, as well as a small and medium for youth, and various sizes for women. There were a few Caddis wading boots as well, all for 60% off the discounted prices.

Also decided to check out the Sports Chalet in West Hills, and they also had two or three Caddis Waders available each for men, youth, and women (didn't take note of the sizes though), as well as a decent selection of fishing items, at least, relative to the other Sports Chalets I've been to (about 4 fixtures worth compared to the 1 of others). I actually found some terminal tackle stuff I needed from this store.

Then I stopped off at the Sports Authority in Canoga Park. It was pretty much cleaned out (although I did get an nrs bilge pump for 5$), but there were 5 or 6 wading boots still available, discounted 80% off the original price (sorry, didn't take note of the brand or price). If you want to check these out, you have to hurry bc this particular store will be closing in two days.

Okuma Cedros Low Profile inshore bait caster. It's the left handed model. Amazon has it for 79.99 with no tax and free shipping.

https://www.amazon.com/Okuma-CJ-273L...os+low+profile

Many places like Melton's has it listed at 249$

http://www.meltontackle.com/products...FQKTaQodKFIKdA

I did see one on eBay for 118$ though. I don't know too much about this reel, but it sounds great, and I've been in need of a new saltwater bait caster, so I couldn't pass on it. Only seven left.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I've been looking for a good LEFT HANDED baitcaster that is made for the salt and my yak. This is perfect. Just ordered one of the 7 that are left. great price.
