whats the deal with the tuna

so what is the deal with how and where you chase down these huge fish

do the tuna run the beach, do they run up and down the coast?

How do you guys chase up? Does the water get warmer and colder?

Are you guys following the bait?

It seems like there's a large area where you hunt them

For us East Coaster, we need a mothership to take us 50 miles out to a spot called the Mud Hole where is starts getting deep

u used to be able to catch tuna decently close to shore but not too much anymore... the only inshore tuna ur most likely to catch would be bonita.. for albacore, yellowfin or an ocasional bluefin run.. u would have to charter out offshore looking for floating strands of kelp birds or use sonar.. usually u might find them from 20 miles offshore up to 100 miles and more.. it all depends on season and luck
