That would be interesting to find your Floridian relatives. The overall diversity of California is tough to beat. However, if you don't mind a hot humid climate and love fishing, Florida is the place to be. If you are retired on a fixed income, everything costs less here than in California.

That Mutton snapper in the bottom of your kayak against your leg puts it all in perspective, that's a big cool looking fish. Keep the reports coming in.

During the summer months temps in the 80-90's with 80-90+% humidity. It is not like SoCal where it can be a dry 80 outside and comfortable. 80 degrees with 80 percent humidity is uncomfortable in anything but flip-flops and shorts. The brief 3 cooler months of the year(winter) temps are in the 70's with comfortable humidity. Most the clothing I wear kayak fishing is for sun protection. There might be two or three trips during the colder months when I need a neoprene jacket to stay warm. |

If I ever make it to Florida I will look you up
And if you ever come to San Diego look me up, and if there anything I can do for you just ask.

Likewise, if you ever make it to Ft. Lauderdale. Thanks. I have family in SoCal and NoCal, so it's not an if, but a when. |
