Night Float

Good evening fishing family,

What a way to end a work week and start a three day weekend. Fishinmike and I went out to San Diego Bay for a night float. Got to the shelter Island yacht basin at approximately 510. Light breeze fairly calm water, sailboats and small motor boats returning to the yacht basin. Took me a few to get set up because when I got home from I threw all my gear in the car. Water was warm when I launched about 5:30. Bro was already out.

Fished the lower range marker and then up and down Shelter Island. Both of us caught a few before the sun set. Hit a hole where I caught 5 sandies. Water was like glass after the sun set. Wrapped up about 11. Was a good night to be out.

Best lure was my motor oil green grub. Worked just as good at night as it does during the day.

Final count:
Fishinmike-11 spotties and 2 sandies. He also had one Octopus he did not want to count.
Bubbacee- 11 spotties ( 2 12 inches or longer) and 5 sandies (1 14 inches).

Good luck this weekend.
