Santa Cruz fishing

Leaving this friday to go fish salmon but want know any Information on kayak fishing the bay, I bringing a boat but is it worth bringing the kayak as well.
Maybe rock/lingcod in the afternoon close to shore. Oh yeah halibut would be my first choice
Will be there until Tuesday unless salmon go stupid

Better check the wind it's blown out up north salmon bite is slow
