Redondo 6/11

Made it out to Redondo yesterday with my nephew. Beautiful day, no wind and light seas. Met up with 'Always Fishing' and we fished a couple different spots throughout the morning. Ended up with a few fat Sand Bass and some red Rocks. Ryan was very excited to catch his first keeper Rock Cod. Lots of Sea Dogs on patrol here.

One thing I noticed was a nasty patch of stinky oil like substance floating on the surface about 1/2 mile out. Yuk.

Meeting...

Nice meeting you yesterday David...
Your nephew was so stoked to catch those fish...it's cool to see that kind of energy.
PM me next time you hit Redondo...
That oily yuk is usually from a couple of natural seepages of oil in the Redondo canyon...WD-40 will get it off the side of your yak...
Good Luck...!

It was nice to go out with you and Ryan. Glad Ryan was able to get some nice fish on the yak. It was definitely a beautiful day until the thick fog rolled in around noon.

Glad we had a chance to chat. I look forward to fishing with you. My other nephew is jealous I did not take him so we will be coming back around soon. See ya.

I only got a couple more after you left. I did marked a few more areas so I came back the next day to Limited in about 3 hours. It was not as smooth as Saturday but still nice. Going on a weekday is definitely nicer and less stressful.
