La Jolla 3-24-07

Well was all pumped to finally get down to La Jolla on the yak. We got on the water about 5:30am and made bait at the pier. First time trying out the bait tank and it worked just fine. So we make the paddle out to the grounds and see about 10 yakkers spread out with some private boats and cattle boats. Slow trolled the macs, thru the irons, tossed some swim baits at the kelp all for NADA But i still had a good time fished with Al and his brother inlaw Tommy. Did not see anyone catch fish. The excitement of the day was Al and i getting caught on some kelp with a pretty good current going took a second to figure we were snagged in the kelp. Off the water 1pm wind was starting to blow a little.

First time posting here and i enjoy the site!

Thanks Jason

Sounds like my Saturday at LJ. Jason, thanks for the report. Better luck next time.

Ron, now it’s time for your first fishing report. You’ve been here since the day one; we’re still waiting for the report.

Hey, just sayin, no hatin.
