Got the new software, haven't tried it out yet. Don't really use downscan very often...but I'll give it a try with the new software.

I typically don’t use downscan in open water either. But this could potentially be the best of both worlds. Downscan showing great bottom structure and detail while retaining the traditional sonar marks on the same screen. I think depth penetration has always been an issue with downscan so time will tell |

Well after the update my water temp stopped functioning. After about an hour fiddling with it on the water and losing valuable fishing time...I gave up and went fishing. Wasn't sure if the update had anything to do with the temp not functioning anymore...but the timing was suspicious. After I got home, I tried again to see if I could get it working again and no luck. I hate it when things don't work!!! So called over to Lowrance this morning and got it all straitened out. Had to mess with a few obscure settings and were back in business.
As far as the fish reveal...it's an interesting upgrade....but I don't see myself using it anymore than i usually do. Definitely not worth all the BS I had to go thru this weekend.
