La Jolla 5-25

Late start today secondary forgetting I needed a new fishing license (0700). Tide was still a bit high and there was plenty of short interval surf at the launch. Had to take 4 or 5 waves in the chest on the way out which allowed me test out the front hatch on my new X-13 (minimal water in).....tons of bait everywhere and the greenbacks weren't to difficult to locate without a FF. Red tide mixed with green water all over, trolled around for nada (one small bite on the tail), threw a surface iron on my new jigstick for nada, and enjoyed the show put on by several hundred dolphins......saw one guy hooked onto a thresher and otherwise nada......great first day back on the water with some new toys..... Next shot thursday morning/afternoon

I was the one getting pulled around by the thresher.

I was surprised there wasnt much going on. But that dolphin show was CRAZY!
