Calm conditions, easy launch & landing, Bait was scarce (I couldn't make it after 4 hours and about 20 other people were having similar problem). I did not see anyone with fish. Perhaps next time.

So the fishing is super great right now! Bait everywhere. Yellowtail and WSB are wide open. Right?

Yep...the 26th sucked in the morning at LJ.

Caught one mackerel after hours of trying. He quickly escaped my trolling hook....D'oh. Threw the iron randomly for a few hours...nada.

Good thing I threw in my swimbait rod as I caught a few small bass to avoid the full skunk. The kelp is still scarce.

Kayaking conditions overall were great. There may have been a good late afternoon bite. I was not persistent enough to find out.
