Bait?

Who's still using their bait tube vs bait tank?

I plan on making a bait tube pretty soon, ideas change and people end up finding new and better ways to make a more efficient and less drag bait tube. Love to hear your thoughts..

I use a bait tube. The subject was recently covered pretty well here:

Start w/ black ABS pipe and go from there to suit. I used 3" pipe.

Ive been using a tube for a year or so. I recently used a paddle/kick board and some pipe hangers to make a tow behind bait tube caddy thing. It paddled way better than just hanging the tubes over the side. But it was a pain to pull it in to get new bait; so im switching over to a tank.

I would recommend a tank over a tube. I just don't see the dragging along of a tube to be that great for paddling.

Fished first year and a half before getting a bank tank.

Bought OEX bait tank, One week later, I caught my very first legal WSB.

First gamefish on the kayak.

Bait tank most important item after safety gear.

Game on .........

Talking

A bait tube being towed behind and tied to your kayak is not a good thing when there are large seals or worse yet, large sharks in the area. If a large animal decided to grab the bait tube you might be in the water before you could say "What the fu**". Just saying!
