Are you close to the Kearny Mesa area? I work at turners over there and if you're close by I could help you find a great combo.

Also it depends on what you're fishing off of, Kayak or shore, to say what length rod you should go with. Those rods you have would work great in the bay. The power of the rod would depend on what kind of lures you're using. There are plenty of saltwater rated reels but it really depends on how much you take care of it.

Fish from a pa12 and sometimes boat.
take care of my stuff rinsing with water after each trip and maintenance.
use primarily 3/8 lead head and sometimes 1/4 and 1/2 oz.
