its been a while

The past year has been tough. in May I will have spent a total of 2.5 months in San Diego over the course of a year. My wonderful wife has been holding down the fort with my 2 vicious guard dogs (insert sarcasm) to protect her. although I haven't one of my 3 kayaks with me most of this time I am still drawn to the water to fish. As you are all fully aware, this is an addiction. The kayak is the method of our drug, but the fishing is what really draws us in. The sights, excitement, peace and calm of the water, and of course rippin' a few lips here and there. Like I said, I haven't touched a kayak or even saltwater since November, and May/June before that, but that will never stop me. I just had to go back to my roots, Black Bass. I fished a lake the other day that folks call the dead sea. I have had almost everyone I talked to say there is nothing in that lake and sure as hell nothing to even take a picture of. That's fine. Ill just leave these here and let the folks in this part of the country think their lake is barren.

I also got to meet up with an old friend whom I haven't seen in several years.

So even though Im missing out on the good bite there in San Diego, rest assured fish bite in all parts of the world and I try my best to locate them.

Looking forward to running into some of yall again here soon on the water.

And the largest white bass of the day when we were the only boat on the water we saw pull in a single fish.
