That by-catch doesn't suck! I'll go out on a limb, and say that has to be one of the biggest so-cal spinnerbait caught hali's ever. Biggest I've seen at least.

Thanks for the responses guys. They looked like veins but I just wanted to make sure. I've always been a c @ r guy so never " filleted " a butt before. About a week ago the wife and I were talking and she said it would be nice to have some halibut for dinner. I felt bad for keeping this one but she was happy. Still feel bad but keeping 1 out of a hundred isn't too bad. Anyways, thanks again.

That's kinda funny roby. The first thing that I thought about was how much this fish would have helped you out. Oh well. 30 lb powerpro with a 15 lb. yozuri leader. It would have been easier if it bit when I had most of my line back instead of almost all my line out. Not sure I would have landed it if I wasn't able to chase it down with the revo.
