FYI.

The Shelter Island Launch will be closed to the public February 22, 2014 due to a special event.

The parking lot is being used for event parking only from the end tup to almost the fishing pier, because there will be no place to park boat trailers, the ramp is closed. Unless you want to carry (pull) your yak a very far distance, even the beach will be difficult to access.
