I had the same results on the 2nd letter sent.
KAF indicates it is going through. But, I'm getting failure notices that they are NOT reaching the governor. It would be so easy for some MLPA computer nut to make this happen.

This is the failure message:
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----

(reason: 550 Rule imposed mailbox access for noelle.quattrin-roost@gov.ca.gov refused)

Two out of two failures for me as well. I am sure that someone is looking in to this. Whomever that is, please post when the problem is figured out. Here is what my bounce back email says.

The original message was received at Wed, 5 Jan 2011 18:22:22 -0500
from [10.174.82.207]

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<noelle.quattrin-roost@gov.ca.gov>
(reason: 550 Rule imposed mailbox access for noelle.quattrin-roost@gov.ca.gov refused)

----- Transcript of session follows -----
... while talking to qmail2.gov.ca.gov.:
>>> RCPT To:<noelle.quattrin-roost@gov.ca.gov>
<<< 550 Rule imposed mailbox access for noelle.quattrin-roost@gov.ca.gov refused
550 5.1.1 <noelle.quattrin-roost@gov.ca.gov>... User unknown

Based on what this message says, it could be as simple as that the automated email generator on the KFA site has the wrong address. Who is noelle.quattrin-roost anyway?

Bob

Congratulations! Our impressive response took the governor's designated email address down. As early as 1:15 this afternoon, more than 1,000 mails had been sent.

FYI, that email address belongs to one of the governor's staffers.

Please hold off on Keep America Fishing email site for now while I pass the word.

We'll resume soon.

Welcome to Mr. Rogers' dream hood...after all, he is a waterman not afraid of legal threats...

Start packing...no amount of DFG bouncers will save your ass now...

Letters will be sent by many, and many more to come...esp noting your Q & A rehearsed comments on people that sided with you.

I just went on and submitted a third time for a family member. Went right through. Seems as though the rejections are specific to a PC/connection?, and not the site itself?

Bob - you may want to try a different machine, work, home, school.

Thanks Paul, for the info, and reply to my PM.

I just sent a follow-up email to everyone in my address book to wait for further notice before giving us their support. That way, if they haven't sent the letter, they won't waste their time doing it for now. When the problem is solved, I will "bug" them again for their support.

We need to win this one.

Regor,

The KAF indicates they are going through, but they're not. As indicated by Paul (PAL) above the governor's staffer's email address shutdown, probably due to inundation.

oh, ok.

I have submitted 3 letters and received 3 out of 3 return "emails" thanking me for my submittal.

I took it that those that have failed did not get a return email thanking them, but they received an email informing them of issues with their submittal.

Nope, I received 2 emails from KAF also thanking me for sending the letter x2.
But, once in my junk folder, and once in my inbox, I received the notice of failure of the letter actually making it to it's final destination.
I think KAF is currently indicating success no matter what.

IT IS EASY TO DELETE AN IGNORE EMAILS. I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO SEND HARD COPIES AS WELL.

They won't bounce back

GAME ON!

Get those emails going again on the Keep America Fishing website.

http://salsa.wiredforchange.com/o/63...ction_KEY=3033

If you sent your email in the late afternoon or evening, please send it again.

Keep America Fishing is collecting copies of the emails, so any further technical hiccups won't be an issue. If necessary, KAF will hand deliver hard copies.

Great job so far. Don't let up!

Paul, will KAF be resending the failed letters or should we resubmit?

I resent my request to everybody in my email list to send in the letter today, since it is now working. Hopefully, it won't happen again, as my non-fishermen friends may not want to do this multiple times

Thumbs down

I received a failure notice that was the same as last night, after the problem was to have been resolved. What gives? Is this going to happen every time we send big amounts of letters their way?
