my wife shot that second photo... she focused on the fish and not me. its all good though.

that second image was shot at f2.8 1/100 @3200iso with a Nikon D700, 24-70 at 45mm. In other words it was almost dark at my place.

Thanks for the nice words everyone... Hope to post some more pics from Hawaii and the East Cape in the next couple of weeks.

The black hat thing has been good for me too. When I get a nice fish I tend to show more teeth though
