I've been following your YT quest like a long running soap opera. You must have been super elated when the game clip closed on that thing.
Persistence and hard work pay off.

Way to go!

This moring the conditions this morning were a 180 from yesterday. We launched into semi dense fog and ankle slappers. Bait was EVERYWHERE..... lots of greenies and Spanish. made a good mix of both, the greenies were on the rather large side. we trolled around with one on the bottom and one on flyline. The seals were relentless, probably stole at least 10 or so of my lively little guys. We headed away from the area to make more bait and hoping the dogs would stay with the boaters. I had one Spanish left so I threw him on the flyline hoping the seals wouldn't get this one. As I was paddling along scanning for bait, the reel started screaming then stopped so I grabbed it thing it was a seal and before I knew it the fight was on. The amount of lobster traps and floating kelp was worrying me but for some reason he decided to turn and head for open water (phew) after about 15 minutes he was gaffed and on my game clip. So stoked I finally got my first kayak YT. my buddy preston got the whole thing on his gopro. I am exhausted from the day but cant stop smiling. Heres to many more......... came in at 41 inch fork length and weighed out at OEX at 23 lbs.

Nice, glad you made the second trip.

Congrats as the first one is the one you will always remember.

It was nasty out there the day you bailed, but still as always fun to be on the water.
