Carlsbad invite Tuesday 1/2/18

Launch and landing was unusually easy, uneventful. I fished the edge of the canyon 100-160’ but no bites. Bait was plentiful. I’ve yet to catch anything of consequence out there in 5 sessions besides a 5’ thresher and smaller unknown shark.

Surf is back up today so it’ll be LJ for me next.

Edit: there was a roughly 50x200 yard patch of kelp on the surface as the tide dropped.
