Crawfish boil in the OC Sunday...

Come and join in the delicious fun this Sunday from 11am to 4pm at the Cypress Community Center for a CCA CAL Orange County Chapter fundraiser.
Besides the crawfish there will be chicken, sausage, corn , potatoes, and cornbread...drinks, including beer and wine are included...raffle tickets are not included in the ticket price but a CCA CAL yearly membership is included in entry.
As usual the raffle will have plenty of great items along with an auction to be held.
If you live in the OC please try to make it to this event...CCA CAL needs all the financial support we can get to keep this great grassroots organization running.

Join CCA CAL now and save some money next year when we will be introducing our CCA KAYAK TOURNAMENTS...open only to CCA members..."THE BATTLE OF THE BAYS" will take place in Mission Bay in May and then will move to Santa Monica Bay in June...it will have some valuable prizes (1st thru 5th place) for each event and a great Grand Prize for the overall winner of both events (an all expense paid trip to...a surprise fishing location) . This will be a tournament you won't want to miss....Bass CPR and a Big Fish side pot.
HOBIE has agreed to be our title sponsor at this event!
Please contact me if you want to be a part of this fun Tourney and help in the planning and logistics at each venue.
I'm starting the planning early to ensure a top shelf event for next year...

Thanks to all that came out to support the CCA

Thanks to all that came out to support the CCA....the food was good...the beer was cold...but the turnout was pretty low...!
Tony (Fulrac) was one of the only kayakers I saw there...I was pretty busy in the kitchen but I did get to schmooze with some friends and have a few beers between bagging up potatoes, corn, sausage, and crawdads...we filled about 60 bags and whatever wasn't eaten went home as big doggie bags.

Shawn Grimm...we didn't win a thing in the raffles...thanks for buying some tickets Shawn.

The best part of the raffle was when Captain Corey Hall's daughter won the red wagon and little kids bike...she was stoked!

Bummer, but money well spent to help fund the cause. Check will go out today. At least my son's team won their afternoon game, so I feel a little better about missing the event.

What's next on the calendar?

Hey Dave

Hey Dave...
Email me and I've got plenty of info to share about "The Loop" and the monster Crawdads that live there. It's almost time to start making reservations for next year...USFS site allows reservations 6 months in advance.
