Also wondering about the grill/stove situation.

Always a good idea to have at least one backup camp stove. If you have room please bring it. I know that Makobob has at least one camp stove.

Fuel update

Mahigeer and Gr8fuldude, this is for YOU. We left San Diego full of fuel, topped off in San Filipe for $50.00 then filled up when I got back to Vista for $71.00. So for the October trip you can expect to pay about $40.00 each for diesel fuel. Truck averaged 19.6 MPG, with just a little over 3000 miles on it.

Thanks Momo,

Wish you could join us.

Fishing trip of a lifetime deserves attention. Particularly since I have not been there before.

Goes back to my training as a Boy Scout.

You have seen my gear when I go to the Catalina Mole, Haven't you??

The cookie monster will not be making this trip, so your cookies are safe.

Danny, I have two 12' x 12' pop ups. Could use 2-4 empty 5 gallon buckets, a couple 12x20 or 16x20 tarps. For temporary shade. Also will be building the bathroom in November so looking for about 40 2x4 studs 92 1/2" long and 7 sheets of 1/2 inch plywood. I will buy new toilet, sink and shower, as it would be nice to have a female or two come on these trips. And some have asked about bringing wife/GF.

My next door neighbor has allowed the use of his place and two bathrooms for the past 20 years. Time to get my own. Of course if you are a hard core camper there is the outback behind camp or for you Hobie guys I hear you just remove your drives. Sorry Dark Side humor.

I do have one of these,
http://www.basspro.com/Dometic-Porta...3080707464215/

But I had already packed one of these:
http://www.basspro.com/Luggable-Loo-...product/45412/

With nine people there, I knew there may be a line at times!

Good tip for the TP for the road. On the Pacific side, there were very nice gas stations. One even had shower!

AWESOME and thank you Danny. By this time next year there should be two options besides the palapas. My new place will be done, and free to use for BWE members AND possibly a new and separate house will be available to RENT by the week or weekend......... That house would be closer to the restaurant about 150 feet from my place, and about 150 feet from the restaurant centered between us. It will be a NEW block house built on the beach, just behind where the palapas are now. It would be closer to the beach then where we are now by about 100 feet, closer is better.
