That's Funny, depends on where you are located. In Norcal you say Johnny Bass and people get all confused. They are called by there proper name which is Olive Rockfish. They are indeed part of the rockfish family. Kind of like some people call blue rockfish - Blue bass.

But wouldnt that be nice.

You're in the SGV? I work over there (Northridge) but live in LA proper.

If/When I ever get this kayak situation ironed out I'll drop you a line. I'd love to hit some of these SoCal breakwalls and bay's.

Just be aware that Saba's first yak was a Malibu with a "BLEM" stamp.

It was a good kayak. Light as hell and never flipped in it once, unlike someone I know.
