la jolla 8-3

Went out today with my buddy. It was his first time. Conditions were pretty weird very mixed swells kelp was all laying downcoulnt find any in its normal spots.
Weird thing was the whole time I only saw 3 kayakers besides the tourist going to the caves. Didn't even see any power boats. Also no luck getting any bites...
My biggest question is where was everyone...
Never seen it so empty out there. Was starting to wonder if there was a tsunami warring I didn't hear about or something like that haha

I know of a few kayakers that were out there today.... it is a week day after all. treasure those few precious moments where it seems as if you have the jewel to yourself, they never last.

reports of the tax man were posted. just kidding . maybe fish arent biting. thx for report. fuel price has kept me down here in LA. im in sf valley . what i have noticed is the sea bass bite has laid down , at they sb islands. i popped my cherry on a charter . limits on one day . and a couple the next outing. Mirage. outta channel islands. overnite. bite was wide open for almost 2 months . and ended as quicky as it started. many nice halibut caught on boat. 57 , 59 and world record 69 . amazing year .
