La Jolla 8/21

Woke up real early and made the drive down to la jolla. Launched right before first light.

Pedaled towards the northwest corner and dropped the yoyo iron on a few marks to see what they were but they were just good sized calicos.

Saw some bird action in ~150ft of water and pedaled out there but didnt see any gamefish on the surface or on the sonar.

Started pedaling back in through the reserve at 0930. Ended up with 8 calicos and a sandbass. Few of the calicos were puking up fin bait.

Fished a anchovie green salas 6x jr and a mint salas 7x light.

I'm impressed you were able to get out. They were saying we were going to have good surf this weekend.

Nice! I heard a few exotics were being taken. Any luck for the other kayakers?
