Heading out of Dana Monday 9/5

A buddy and myself will be heading out of Dana Monday morning if anyone is interested. I know it's the holiday and will be busy, unfortunately I'm pretty busy this weekend and it's my only chance.

Will launch around 6. We usually check doheny if the surf is small we will launch from there. Otherwise it's baby beach.

Plan is to head north to try our luck just sw of the red bouy at the headlands. Tide will be on the rise until 11ish I believe.

If anyone goes out today or tomorrow and has a report with some info on what they are biting on that would be cool too.

Hope to meet up with some of you experienced folks one day and learn a thing or two as we are new to kayak fishing. Figuring it out has been fun.

Have a good safe weekend everyone

Yeah, it's going to be a circus for sure. We probably will be throwing a few on the way out and we usually spend an hour around the barge on our way back in around 11. Good luck!

How did it go? I went to LJ today and.. Well... It was good exercise. Lots of bikinis on the beach. No fish in the water.

Did alright today. It was really slow though. Saw a school of dines right as we rounded the end of the breakwater. Should have stopped there and tries to make some bait, but I was over eager to get to the spot we were going to, and I hadn't tied my sabiki on yet. Fished from 6-12. Tons of big macks and little bonito on the sabiki. 10-12 in macks. Fly lined a 10 in guy for a bit with no luck. Dropper looped some squid I had cut up for a solid sand bass. And got a short calico on a colt sniper. Buddy gave up and just kept tossing an iron for the little bonito for kicks. All and all a good day on the water though.

Nice
My boy wouldn't wake up this morn
Couldn't go without him
Turned into a lazy day
Glad you had a good day
