No drive, seat, paddle, or anything else

Now I see the reason for the original post!

Good looking out for the community

Priced at $500 I've never seen one of those priced so low. Getting the popcorn ready.

Notice there's a lime green kayak against the wall in one of the pictures? I wonder if that one is for sale also.

Well i had to do it.
i sent an email asking about the drive, seat, year etc. Usual questions and then told him since it'd be a cash deal would he meet me in the parking lot of the local PD?
Will see if they respond!

On the original Outback, I'd say it is priced right, buying new paddle, seat and drive will have you with a 7 year old Hobie with a new drive for $1300, tough to get any more than $500 for the hull alone.

You know it could also be another way.
They might have gotten their mirage drives stolen and figured out it might be better to just upgrade!
However it's good that members are posting these "just in case".

Ya, I'd ask where the drive seat and paddle went, also make sure it has the serial # on the stern. Check the drive well for any lil cracks. Had guys bring me their killer deal kayaks only to find they fill up with water.

Yup, talked to a guy that came and saw you with that issue on a killer deal today. Sneaky Lemons!

Do the Hobies crack and leak often?

Wow...saw this guy and his buddy putting the kayak back onto it's trailer at the launch last weekend. I though he found his missing drive, but I guess not. Feel bad he's cashing it in after only one attempt.

I would not recommend buying one older than 2008
