Does anybody have pictures of their overhead pulley storage setups. I'm trying to rig one for my new hobie.

storage

Instead of a pulley system. I use 4 hooks (actually eyes) screwed into the ceiling with two ratcheting tie down straps. I leave one looped up and the other in a long loop. I put one end of the kayak in the short loop and and grab the strap on the long loop, set the other end of the kayak in the long loop, pull the strap, pulling that end of the kayak up to the ceiling and ratchet it a couple times and I'm done. If you have two kayaks you can put the other right underneath using the same eyes but anothe set of straps. Total cost <$20.

i do the same thing. but i only use to tie-down straps instead of 4. works great for me. and i can use the straps to tie down my kayak on my car if i need to as well.

Pulley hoist

I use 2 of these I got at Harbor Freight along with a couple of old tie downs that I use in the middle of the yak for support. Total cost: $10

thanks for the replies guys. I bought some pulleys. Wish I had seen that harborfreight hoist earlier. The one I looked at in escondido only had the pulleys. Looks like I be rigging my own now.
