No squid. Macs work just fine.

No squid but plenty of Spanish, green macs. Caught one that looked like a baby Bonita. Never knew they grew that big. Easy bait all around outside of kelp. See was that so hard to answer Danny? 😊

Don't about squid at LJ. But I was scooping them up with a Walmart bait tank net Saturday night in Oceanside.

Yeah it was pretty cool. I had just released a good size mako. And saw the squid coming up. Stopped fishing and just watch the squid surround my buddies skiff. Then saw the largest blue shark I have ever seen. It was easy over 10' long. It was a great night. Never really targeted sharks before. Caught 3 mako release two biggger sharks. Kept a little guy for BBQ on Monday between 40-50lbs. Boy was it tasty.

Not sure if there's squid bed around, but made about 20pcs. last friday, outside kelp line around 85-90'. The macs are plenty.
