Or, you could just buy a boat and throw the kayak's on the bow....Get two or three buds to kick in for gas and you are good to go. You could even get a 262 Skipjack and we could all spend the night on it as well! Of course I get to spoon with Premo! Thats the ticket...Come Kent, you can do it!

We were planning a mid june trout trip........but it may just turn into a YT Catalina trip.
Gotta do some planning and kissing butt with the wife. I don't know about the Catapalooza thing, seems like its an invitation event only for realllllly good fishermen. |

Well unfortunately a large chunk of the primitive camp area stretch is slotted for an MLPA reserve, which is ridiculous given that is where the CAMP SPOTS ARE! So yes there may be NO FISHING THERE, you may want to donate if you are planning on an annual pass

i have been waiting for a 50% off Groupon deal out of MDR, they ran one about this time last Spring and already ran one out of Newport.
Here is a little bit of savings out of MDR for a June trip Quote:

well sadly the road between Avalon and boat yard is closed for anybody just cars(falling rocks)should be reopen later this summer.there is another road (wriglies rd),but longer with elevations. cab charges are 8 bucks each way(second person is for free, every additional person 1 buck)so with group of 2 and more its doable on budget. |
