I actually got this same deal on the Hook 7 last December. I am a bit disappointed in it. I am running it on my tin boat. I have the Elite 5 without CHIRP on my yak and it performs much better than my Hook 7. Looses contact with the bottom easily especially if there is a change in depth. Does not desplay bait or fish nearly as clearly as my Elite 5. Anyone else have any input on the Hook line of sounders?

I've heard the same complaints from my freshwater colleagues...

Yeah...I've read bad things about the Hook series not living up to expectations. I've got an older Elite-5 with chirp that I'm also a little disappointed in. Screens can be slow to load and the cartography for LJ sucks.

The Jig Stop

Dave is retiring, everything on sale. It's a good time to pick up a lefty reel as they are always the last to go. I just picked up a Phenix Recon PHX-C804 carbon rod at $70 off. I can't believe how light this thing is, perfect for sandies and spotties. There's quite a few rods left, and avets and accurate reels, but clearing out fast.

I wouldn't trust that their online inventory is accurate at this point, and no way to resolve any shipping issues after the doors shut in a few weeks. You want to walk out with items in hand.

It's sad to see this place go, it's been there since 1966. But I'm happy Dave can spend his remaining days out enjoying fishing on his boats now.

Reliable kill bag

Free shipping, tax built into cost! Cheapest I have found for sure! MSRP $179-$220 plus shipping and tax at most retailers.

Just scored one for the outback, gotta keep those fish cold and helps extend my fishing time without worrying about spoiled Sashimi!
