hatch question

are there any hatch lids out on the market that are inverted? i ask this because i have a touring kayak that i fish off of and it has a bow hatch and rear hatch but i bungee my milk crate on top of my rear hatch (the yak doesnt have a tankwell), rendering the rear hatch usless when i am on the water. so i was thinking that there might be a hatch lid that is inverted to create some sort of tankwell..
