I cut my rod down to the length I want for 4 flys .I tie my own flys so I buy the biggest long shank hooks that won't hook the lip of the rod if it does it's useless I tie my gangions with 12 and 20lb....florocarbon

I was at turners last week and both 7' and 8' were one piece, im not sure they even make a sabiki thats two piece.

Awww it's a baby And a gentle release but not too the seal Happy Father's day 2 all i would think a one piece rod would be the best no joint to hang up hooks except the funnel at the end

The Promar/Ahi sabiki sticks, both the 7 & 8 foot are actually 3-piece. But you don't HAVE to break them down.

This post has inspired me.......

To make a one piece aluminum tubing 3/4 or 1in bait rod
Will post pictures when it's done I have had problems of hooks getting stuck on joint.....

The wrap looks pretty bad

Don't have a rod wrapper and I put heavy thread on top of fine tread a no no used my weber rotisserie motor for a flex coat dryer it's all good....
