Mission Bay Jan 14th - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Well boys, I'm going to try the mouth of Mission Bay tomorrow for halibut. It should be an incoming tide all morning so I'm thinking I paddle out and drift back with a squid on a dropper rig. I'm guessing 5 feet tag to sinker and 3 foot leader for the hook using a three way swivel. I don't have any uni butter so it's just the squid. Hopefully the fish will be feeding on a rising tide. Any hints you can think of to help me be more successful?

I don't think so Ed, unless I come across some extra gas money this will be my trip for this week.
