Okay, I've signed on for these trips in the past but for misc reasons never made it out.

I would like to go on this trip.

What do I need to get across the border?

And what should I bring?

To go on this trip you will need your passport, a mexican ffm (which you can get as we cross the border), mexican auto insurance and a mexican fishing licence. Border crossing is much faster if you already have your ffm and auto insurance in hand.

Yak, radio, life vest, fish gear, sleeping bag, drinking water and drinks. you would be responsible for dinner for one night, I usually take food for my night to the restaurant and they do the cooking and clean up for $5.00 a head plus drinks and a tip. So if I take meat, they provide the rice, beans, tortillas and sometimes a salad for about $40 for 6 people. But if you want to cook in camp we can do that just more work and clean up.

Last year we ran out of taquilla at the NEW YEARS EVE party, So I ask that people comng down bring a bottle of Taquilla.
Plan on fishing, mostly bass, cabrilla, snapper, orange mouth corvina. The exotics will be gone. And remember we can get wind this time of year so you may have to fish from the beach.

Other questions, please ask. Tight Lines and Happy Holidays.

Where in Baja is Gonzaga by the way? Google maps doesn't seem to know. Found Asuncion, but not Gonzaga.

Where and when would I meet up with y'all.

BahÃXa San LuÃXs Gonzaga, east side of Baja, cross over at Calexico, take route 5 down, right?

I may head out a day or so early, sleep in the truck or something. Or the hotel.

My plan at this point is to head to Calexico on the 25th, in the evening. Stay there over night and the cross over early in the morning and head on down.

Rossman, I can meet you at Camp Beluga that evening, God willing.

Sound okay?

Hey Papa Dave, I am having some second thoughts about my schedule. Looks like there might be a good bit of rain into Baja through Xmas. I have to travel the we miles of grumpy Road past Coco's Corner, which can get a bit weird during a rain storm. I may put off my departure until Tuesday but I will decide and post here by Xmas night. I still plan to spend at least one night at Beluga but Makobob may be at his place on Monday night. I will catch up with you during the week if I don't see you at Beluga.
