Heading to the Florida Keys...It's too cold here ;)

Too cold in San Diego, Sure time to go to Florida

Ha ha! ( I live in the midwest for 34 years so I say that very tongue-in-cheek)

Just looking for a few insider tips and tricks for fishing in Florida bay from the Keys side. I fished all over Florida, but never from the Keys. I even fished Florida bay but only the Glades side, and never in winter.

Anyway I am heading down there for my bachelor party (aka fishing trip) and would love any insight into winter fishing down there. I am loaded up with soft plastics, gold spoons, popping corks etc. We are renting a fleet of Hobies to fish the back country one day and a we'll be targeting sailfish in the gulf stream another. Not sure what to do on the third day yet probably weather dependent.

What has been your go-to bait down there? I'd love to hear what you have been successful with in the past.

Thanks So Much!! and Happy New Year.
Cheers, Bernie
