not kayak - kicked out of the islands

Not on my yak, but on Thursday the mex navy chased everyone out of the Coronados - sporty and private both. They are starting up that immigration form nonsense again. Imagine....Mexican officials hassling us about immigration...

Sure we were. There were at least six sport boats and 20 private boats...mex navy (politely) evicted all of us. I case you didn't follow the drama, last year they did the same thing...requiring a form that does not exist where a mexican fishing license and passport has always been the requirement.

This started as a butt hurt by the sporties in Ensinada who want the American boats to go into ensenada first and pay the harbor fee. Of course, you can't do that on a 3/4 day trip and still have time to fish. Now they are booting the private boats as well.

Oh...by the way, I will have absolutely no problem with them taking a zero-tolerance stance on any policy they want...as long as we take the same approach - no illegal drivers license, no illegal college tuition, no illegal health care, etc.
