Ramos,

Super fish!! It's nice to know the med is full of
those fish. I wonder if those fish are in Greece??

Octico, without electronics, we wouldn't see that fish, read
his story, or read your non sense statement.

I would believe Octico's quote is in reference to useless tasks that produce nothing. IE, angry birds, and other BS actions that people spend countless hours on without producing any tangible results.
Practicing on your FF at home/relevant research, I believe does not quite fall under this category.
I'd rate this site as entertainment/education....or at least that is how I rationalize time spent on this site

Thanks for your reply Ramos, however,

I was wonder if fish like that live in
the waters off of GREECE?

Not just in Tagus river in Portugal.

Portugal and Mediterranean!

Just information to Kayakfisherman. I don't believe Portugal is on the Med, only the Atlantic!

I people, let you some information about this fish.

Argyrosomus regius (also known as meagre, shade-fish, salmon-basse or stone basse) is a fish of the Sciaenidae family. It has a similar form to a European seabass, with a pearly-silver coloration and a yellow-coloured mouth. Length can range from 40–50 cm to 2 m long, with weights up to 55 kg.
Is a carnivore found in pelagic coastal areas. Its depth distribution ranges from 15 to 300 m. Distribution include the Atlantic Ocean (from France to Senegal) and the Mediterranean Sea, with some records of its presence in the northern Red Sea.

Computer Generated Native Distribution Map for Argyrosomus regius (Meagre)
(modelled future range map based on IPCC A2 emissions scenario)
Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Norway to Gibraltar and Congo, including the Mediterranean and the Black Sea. Migrated to the Red Sea via the Suez Canal.

Great catch Ramos
