But it was my first right kind from my kayak took me 9 months to feel the glory of ripping a gill and the primal feeling or coagulated blood all over me. And after kelping herself twice and on an 8 foot rod don't tell my chick but I've fallen in love with another nice piece of tail. I want one on the 10 footer reaaaaal bad.........

Thanks Danimal and Kirk..........

Ah yes, the cherry popper...

I'm just relieved I'm not playing against one of my idols. All this time I was scared that the La Jolla legend himself, Richard Kenvin, was playing WCW!

So it's nice to put a name to a face; welcome aboard. Nice vans by the way; they're great luck from my experience.

I'm going to barrow one of your tactics, though---and weigh all my fish with the gunny sack hanging on them, too.

That way, my odds of success in this tournament can only go up!

Side note: take it from me, many a kayak angler has fished La Jolla...for years, without catching one of those hard-fighting fish. I'm sure Danimal accelerated your learning curve in that regard. Congrats to you both.

Gentlemen

Danimal---Thanks and sorry for not looking amped (Definately helped my learning curve and helped me get up at 2 am way too many times and pushed me to keep putting time on the water).

Darkhorse---Thanks, im more the love child of joe roper and carl ekstrom... Plus Kenvin was in this he'd be out on a self shaped asymmetrical kayak that was cut down to a 4'10 and would have already won. Ande he's a natural foot.

Clarification: Im not going to completely take the bait on this one but its actually a funny story regarding the gunny sack. I ran into the back of my work barefooted under surveilance cameras and the watchful eye of many an undocumented immigrants to drop that girl on the scale and get out with a documented weight, cooler, and borrowed Ice before being detected by my bosses...

Nice fish, Koub. 23lb sure beats my first 12lb rat yellowtail. Hopefully there will be a couple more of those this summer.
