This is how I decided on my kayak. Andy is a great resource, and the water by his shop is a great place to try them out.

Hey. I’m also new to this and taking my time learning in the bay. I’m also down to head out with you and watch each other’s back.

I have work tomorrow so I can’t. I’m planning to go out either monday, tuesday, or friday next week though.

I was planning to go try out a few kayak this weekend but forgot it was my son's BD party.

Probably won't be able to go out until next weekend due to family and work commitments.

Definitely gonna check out Andy at OEX.

OP keep in mind the width of the yak your looking to get. Narrow allows you to slice through water with ease but not stable to stand vs the wider stuff. Also mind that your ass may get wet with the non raised seats and its not fun fishing when that happens. Its nice to stand up once in a while after fishing 2-4 hours. What is your used price budget as my buddy is thinking of selling his.
