Thanks for the recipe idea...Professor Long Arms...Changed it up a little and it was Soooo delicious…

Steamed then really hot peanut oil dribbled on top, then the soy/fish sauce…!

Beautiful weather for the opener...only a couple of kayakers fishing and the boats all went to the outside so it was nice and quiet.
First time I've been able to fish the Rockfish opener for many years...we're usually setting up the FHS or it's been too windy...

I tried some old school red shrimp flies and squid at the first 4 spots for zero...
Then I switched to the AHI pink glow Squirts with squid, and it was game on...
Bummer to have to "throw back" (used a descender) a bunch of Reds after I got my 4 fish limit...
