Talking My First month of Kayak Fishing

So I joined the board back in July after a class I had with Scotty1369
We were swapping lies and he mentioned Kayak fishing I was immediately intrigued. He then told me about BWE and the great community of Fishermen on the forum.

So after a week of being a member and reading tons. I picked up an used X-factor from Jnast13st he told me it was a great kayak and prefect for a beginner.

The next day I went to OEX and met CJ and bought some gear I needed. He then told me to head over to Squid Co and they would get me setup with gear.

So now I'm ready to hit the water. The first time out I was super nervous and anxious about this sport. I was taking my maiden voyage at LJ. I went out and got a feel for the kayak and thought this is AWESOME!!! After a few hours I hooked up on a small rock fish. This was my first fish off the kayak.

The following week I went out again and this is when I met Roby and CTFphoto. These guys had answers for all of my questions. After seeing the fish people were catching I was amazed and excited. I went out two days later and hooked up with my first YT

I was set this sport is officially AWESOME!!

After a week off and picking up a new rod/reel I had to get back out.

That's when this happened.

I'm glad to have met so many great people on the water! You guys truly are a class above the rest! Thanks for making this happen!

I usually head out on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. I'm always looking for people to fish during the week (I'm still green and won't go solo yet)

I'd like to give a big Thanks to:

Scotty1369 (getting me addicted)
Roby (for all the guidance)
CTFPhoto (for tips/tricks and great conversations)
CJ @ OEX MB (for getting me the gear I needed)

and all the members that keep this forum great!

Thanks I used to fish fresh water back east for kings and stripers. I still can't cast a bait caster. I need to get on the butts you have been slaying.
